Fereydon Hassanvand, the representative of Andimshek people in the parliament, also pointed to the special geographical conditions of Andimshek city and stated: There are Karkheh Dam, Dez Dam and two power plants next to this city. The transit road in the north and south corridor of the country and the connection of the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf passes through Andimshek, and the country’s railway lines stand out as the axis of development in Andimshek for more than 80 years.

Referring to the beginning of follow-ups for Kimia Petrochemical since last year, Hasanvand said: Kimia Petrochemical needs at least 500 million dollars in foreign currency. The operating bank was identified and the feed permit for this petrochemical was obtained from the Ministry of Petroleum and Petrochemicals several months ago, and good measures have been taken in the water, electricity, gas and infrastructure issues. Also, the implementation of Kimia Petrochemical Project has started 4 months ago.

According to Isna, the annual petrochemical production capacity of Kimia Andimeshk is 200,000 tons of MEG and 25,000 tons of EG mixture, and the required amount of gas is equal to 550,000 cubic meters per day. Currently, 40,000 hectares of land have been allocated for the implementation of phase one of this petrochemical, and the amount of water required by this company is 270 cubic meters, which will be supplied from the sources of the Dez River. The amount of electricity required for this petrochemical plant is estimated at 16 megawatts. The contractor and buyer of the product is Kimia Andimeshk Petrochemical Company, Wuhan, China.

The duration of the first phase of this plan is estimated to be 48 months and it will be implemented with an investment cost of 500 million dollars. During the construction of this company, temporary employment will be created for more than 3,000 people, and after operation, it will create employment for 400 people.
